Paul Henry  PgDip MBACP (Accred)

I am an integrative transpersonal psychosynthesis practitioner trained by the Psychosynthesis Trust.  I am also an accredited member of BACP.  The unique element of transpersonal counselling is that it encompasses mind, body and spirit in the counselling process. It’s a talking therapy but can also involve experiential exercises, visualisation and guided meditation.

Before I trained in psychotherapeutic counselling I spent many years in the creative industries so I am familiar with anxiety and stress related conditions. I also have twenty years experience of working with alcohol and substance misuse.

I work with anxiety, trauma, crisis and stress. I apply these skills in a number of fields; one to one counselling, addiction issues, performance anxiety, parenting and step-parenting, couples counselling and mid-life crisis. My style of counselling is gently enquiring, I am not trying to change the person you are but to help make the person you are more understandable and acceptable to you. Acceptance is the key to all our difficulties and fear inhibits our acceptance.
